After years of searching, my wife and I found a mid-century modern house of wood and glass surrounded by trees in south Evanston, that we have been lovingly updating. Part Eichler, part ski chalet and part Brady Bunch set, the spaces are very unique, as are the challenges of Southern California glass house design in a midwest climate. Our goal is to honor the architecture and charm of the period, while adding our own contemporary accents and the personality of its latest inhabitants.
